It doesn't last forever. It doesn't keep you flying high.
When you need that love the most you see waving goodbye.
In the night you hear it's whisper, a taunt of what could've been.
The last thing you can do is say "Remember when?"
Remember when you got along, remember when you laughed.
Hold onto the moments you lost and never look back.
Love tears all things down when you need it most.
Love lights it's match to make a fire just to watch you roast.
But yet, you forgive the heartbreak, yet you try again.
Knowing that it'll never last,
They won't stay your best friend...
